“Art is the beginning of vision into the realm of eternal life.”
DA ARTIST
Amber Reese (1996-), an artist that views self-expression as necessary for the soul, was born and raised in Prince Georges Country, Maryland. Amber chose the moniker “Amber Da Artist” as an effort to fully embrace her identity as an artist. Her symbolic and colorful acrylic and watercolor portraits focus on her Black ancestry, her spirituality, and capturing the beauty in life. Her work often features elements of gold foil to evoke grandeur and prosperity. Her paintings are meant to feel personal and familiar even if they don’t perfectly relate to the viewer, as she fundamentally believes the only difference between human experience is perspective. Her philosophy is “art is the beginning of vision into the realm of eternal life.”
